Canlubang Golf & Country Club
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr
Canlubang is not one but two golf courses, the largest in the Philippines. The North Course is a championship layout and measures 6,929 yards, with a rating of 72.4. The shorter South Course also has 18 holes. It has a rating of 71.7 from the blue tee. Both are laced with man-made lakes. It's an opportunity to play in a setting full of wild sugar and coconut forestation. The courses feature deep ravines and skirting lakes. They both reward fair play whether you’re a regular (average) player or a high handicapper. The slightly longer North Course is marginally the more challenging of the two and is protected by deep ravines and some fascinating features. The 9 holes share a huge green set in front of a lake and require the best play possible to make par. The South Course has great views and is a favourite for many. The back 9 provides some fascinating holes. The two finishing holes are immense. The par 3 17 is the signature hole – the tee shot sees you having to clear first a ravine and then a massive acacia tree before finding the heart of the green. The long par 5 18 combines water, a tight fairway and ever present out of bounds to make this a fitting end to a superb day of golf. Coconut trees, man made lakes, ravines, sand traps, and the occasional wind will provide ample challenges to even the most seasoned golfers who play here. Get ready for one of the best games of your life... Canlubang Golf North Course:
