This 18 hole (par 66, 4,326 yards) day and night golf course surrounds Fort Santiago, in the heart of historic Old Manila, approxinately 25 minutes drive from CBD hotels. Construction on this course commenced in 1907 making it one of the oldest courses in the Philippines. It is spread over approximately 23 hectares of landscaped grounds trimmed with various trees and lagoons set against a backdrop of the old fortress plus inner city residential and commercial buildings. Whilst only short, there are still many challenges on this course as almost every hole includes either water hazards or out-of-bounds, or both. A round can be completed in just about two hours. Big hitters and power play do not always win the game here. Rather, a well drilled short game is the secret to a good score. Club Intamuros is a favourite amongst local expats who get together for a bit of fun over a quick round of golf before heading off for dinner or a few drinks at nearby expat bars or historic Manila Hotel which is located across the road. It's inner city location in the historic Old Manila (Intramuros) makes it an ideal extra activity for those who want to cap an afternoon of sightseeing with a game of NIGHT golf.
